1. Apologies:

2. Matters arising from minutes of last general meeting

2a) Vandalism: Notice to be placed on main notice board “Vandalism to be paid for”.

4. PYP: A disclaimer would not make much of a difference, but it wouldn’t harm to put one up. CB to look into producing a disclaimer.
Playquest correspondence received. Playquest have not signed off that the play equipment has been inspected. Playquest have sent recommendations for inspections on the equipment. Current checks to be made daily, and inspections made weekly and at 6 months and 12 months.
Need to check if any qualifications are needed to inspect playground equipment. Checks need to be passed to validate the insurance. Playquest have not stated what the details of the checks should involve. Need to contact Playquest and to investigate County Council costs of 6 month checks.
Nothing heard from Medrwn Mon about the inspection course for Tomos to attend. Chris to check with Medrwn Mon on the course details.

6. Diary
Conwy Centre – 5 Activity Week. Youth Theatre included 1 person from the village and the rest from other villages.
Holiday Playscheme ran for 2 weeks – 47 people registered for the activities.

PYP: Need to ask Community Council for a donation to the insurance, proposal to ask for £200. Need to request new green bins from the Environmental Department for grass cuttings.

3. Finance update

Boiler
Fire extinguishers serviced and refilled
Electric, broadband and bills

Plans are required to start using the money made instead of letting the money build up. New curtains for the stage proposed.

4. Anniversary

Anniversary celebrations to be combined with Halloween during half term. Application for Cymorth grant for primary children to make Halloween decorations and for their refreshments. Alison Chapman to attend on Wednesday afternoon in half term.

Friday: 11-16 years disco 7pm – 9pm. Hot dogs and £1 entry.
Saturday afternoon: WI and 0-11years teaparty.
Saturday evening: supper party for adults: Tickets only. 50 tickets to be printed and charged at £3. Disco afterwards with lob sgaws and vegetarian option provided.
Richard to create posters for Friday 29/10/2010. Chris to make adverts and tickets.

5. Booking forms

Reminder to use the green forms for room hire as they are not currently being used and they are used to restrict CNC’s liability. Required to get signatures for bookings just in case using the forms provided (to be found in yellow file in office).

6. AOB

a) Monday afternoons there will be Welsh conversation up until Christmas.
b) New Years Eve over 18’s party: No tickets. Bring along a tray of food. Requests taken for the music played.
c) Aerobics with Joe Griffiths running up until Christmas.
d) Newborough Walking Club has started up under Sports development.
e) Alarms required for the fire extinguishers, can be bought online for an estimate of £15.
f) Bowls competitions to start and held on a Friday night once a month 7-9pm. To start on the 26th of November. 50p to play bowls with a free drink.
g) Santes Dwynwen event to hold a charity night.
h) Pool tournament to start after the bowls tournament.
