Tacla Taid Transport and Agriculture Museum


Tacla Taid, the Anglesey Transport and Agriculture Museum , is the largest of its kind in Wales . It features displays of cars, motorbikes, commercial and farm vehicles and static engines. There is also a children's play area, a souvenir shop and a tea room.

Newborough Warren


Newborough Warren / Ynys Llanddwyn is one of the finest and largest dune systems in Britain - with 1,550 ha of it NNR. There are large expanses of both active and fixed dunes, although many of the latter have been afforested, along with a freshwater lake, saltmarshes, mudflats and a tidal island. The reserve contains an outstanding flora, interesting lichen and moss communities and a wealth of invertebrates. The intertidal mudflats and saltmarshes are important wintering grounds for waders and wildfowl regularly supporting over one per cent of the British population of Pintail, and Ynys yr Adar near Ynys Llanddwyn supports over one per cent of the British breeding population of the Cormorant. Directions Follow the A4080 south of Anglesey into Newborough. Signs will lead you to Newborough Warren and Llanddwyn. There is a £3 fee charge to park at Llanddwyn car park.
