Eglwys Bach – building project update

Over two years ago, Criw Niwbwrch’s bid to apply for Welsh Assembly and EU money to renovate Eglwys Bach into a Centre for community use was successful, but brought with it a huge amount of red tape, confusion and delays. But now the renovation is on it’s way, so we thank you for your patience over the past two years.

Criw Niwbwrch has provided and will continue to do so, leisure activities for children and young people using the Cymorth Play access grants. When the Centre is up and running, there will be a wide range of activities available for all members of the community and we hope you will take part.

As you can imagine, there is still a lot of money needed to complete the project. So to help with fundraising, we are offering you an opportunity to “buy” a small part of the building itself!

For a donation of £5 or more you can “DONATE A SLATE” for the roof! You will receive a certificate to show how your donation has been spent and also with it, membership of the ‘Friends of Criw Niwbwrch’ which will entitle you to 10% discount for hire of the hall or meeting room at the Centre when it is operational. Your name will also be entered into the ‘Book of Donations’. You may prefer to make a donation without purchasing a slate, your name will also go into the ‘Book of Donations’ and you will be entitled to 10% discount.

We do hope you feel you can lend your support to this important project for the village by donating in this unique and lasting way and we ask if you are interested to fill in the slip below and return it to the Post Office.
