Sports activity 31st July 2007 for Primary age children led by trained instructors from the Sports Development unit.

Supported by
Cymorth - Open access play grant

The Fun-Bus “B-Team” was at Newborough primary school on 17.02.03.

In the morning there were craft activities, primarily mask making, using sheets of cardboard, but, as inspiration blossomed, other artefacts appeared, culminating in a simple but effective hobby horse. 34 children attended ranging in age from 4 to 16.
Thanks to a well-designed form produced by Llinos Hughes, volunteers were able to canvass and list parent helpers for future activities

The afternoon was devoted to circus skills ranging from making juggles by inserting bags of rice into balloons to dressing up as clowns, stilt walking and mono-cycle riding. The most popular items were 2 mini-cycles. Numbers for the afternoon session rose to 44, with the attendance of a larger group of teenagers who felt rather outnumbered by the juniors, but it proved an excellent opportunity for Nia to take them aside and recruit their future involvement and cooperation as group leaders and helpers. They proved very keen to become involved and already had potential fund-raising projects to propose.

The craft workshop Supported by Cymorth - Open access play grant

A Christmas Craft Workshop was held in Newborough School on Saturday 9 December.

This was held by popular request following the very successful workshop in the Summer. Criw Niwbwrch volunteers, led by Nia, were supported by Kerry Singleton, to all of whom, many thanks. The children made Christmas cards, calendars and table decorations based on natural materials, and the quality of most of the products was amazing.

Chocolate Yule logs, biscuits and soft drinks disappeared like lightning after a morning of intense concentration.
