Rhosyr Community Council. The October 2010 meeting was held at the Community Hall, Dwyran School with Coucillor Tim Owen in the chair. Three members of the North Wales Police were welcomed to the meeting and statistics were submitted by them showing that the situation has improved at Newborough.There is insufficient proof for the need to create an alcohol free zone as the Police already have the authority to prevent youths under 18 from drinking in public places.It was promised that there will be an increase in police presence in the area. It was also resolved to support the doctors from Dwyran Surgery in opposing the opening of another pharmacy at Dwyran. Following correspondence from the County Council regarding lamps at Dwyran it was resolved to accept the first option but that lamp number 2 to be switched off between 00.30 and 05.30 each morning as a complaint has been received that the light would affect one of the houses during the night. A letter was received from the County Council stating that following consultation 65 per cent were in favour and 35 per cent were against having traffic calming measures on Lon Capel, Dwyran . The highways department is unable to justify marking the road surface of the bus stops at Penlon but it will be reconsidered should finance become available. The council be represented at the welcoming meeting of Gwyl Gerdd Dant Glannau Menai by Counillor Geraint Williams. Councillor Miss Enid R Mummery reported on a meeting with the Forestry Commission.
