Cor Meibion Y Foel
An extract from the "Mail" below An Anglesey male voice choir is celebrating after releasing a successful debut album. Llannerchymedd’s Côr Meibion y Foel has just released its first album Croesi'r Bont on CD. It’s selling really well and a testament to the choir’s dedication and hard work, according to musical director, Grês Pritchard. The new album was part-funded by the Isle of Anglesey County Council. Grês said: “It was a big step for us – we’re a relatively new choir, it’s our first album and recording doesn’t come cheap these days but, in Croesi’r Bont, we’ve produced an album that we’re all very proud of.” Renowned conductor and broadcaster, Alwyn Humphreys, said the album reflected “the spirit and verve of male choral singing at its best”. Tracks on the album include You Raise Me Up and Gwinllan a Roddwyd, as well as whole host of other well-known hymns, folk and pop songs. Côr Meibion y Foel
